My Educational Philosophy
I am a passionate educator. I have been interested in the educational process since my own middle school years and have continued my formal education, researching and applying my learning to my position since that time. - Building relationships between all members of the school community is a key to a positive school culture.
- Faculty members must have an opportunity to explore new and best practices in education.
- Collaborating in teams and having the time to reflect often affords teachers the occasion to identify areas of improvement.
- Establishing a variety of systems to provide faculty resources, training and feedback in the process of school improvement is a necessary component in an exemplary school.
- Engaging with faculty throughout the school year and in various settings, allows for a culture of collaboration and the collegiality necessary to ensure that a school community is positive and forward thinking.
- Constructing a school environment in which faculty is motivated to think and apply their knowledge to student learning will encourage students to also value learning and innovation.
A positive school climate is essential to any school community. I am:
- A visible leader is a key to creating a positive school climate.
